Kids First Uganda is a Ugandan NGO that has partnerships with charities/NGOs in New Zealand and the USA. Together we partner to uplift and encourage those with whom we work in Uganda.
The women and children we work with are just ascapable, and can be just as independent, as women and children living elsewhere. All they need is an opportunity: to create, to learn, to explore the world, grow their talents, and develop their own resources for success in a supportive and uplifting environment.
We work alongside women and children to equipandempower them, to encouragecreativity which can help an individual to overcome their circumstance, and the achieve their full potential.
On a larger scale, we work withincommunities to uplift and encourage relationships between families, and to reach out to disengaged youth.
An important part of what we do is to share the good news of the Gospel. We believe we are called to be a part of God's restorative work in this world, which includes telling others about Jesus, as well as providing an environment for kids and adults to experience God's love and forgiveness, enabling them to live their full potential.
We hope that the achievements of those with whom we work will reach further, to change thestereotype of an African child. We believe this will inspire local youth to aspire to and achieve more, and will open doors for opportunity as the rest of the world starts to see Africa as a vibrant source of creativity and development.
