Moving on full steam ahead, Andrew has accepted the challenge of teaching kids to craft and create lino prints, so they may enter the Silk Cuts Competition! He has started at Light High School, where our secondary school kids attend school. All our sponsored kids were involved, as well as a bunch of other students - 50 kids in total! We can't wait to see their results!

We are so excited to welcome Andrew back home to Kampala after some months away in Australia! He has had an amazing time visiting different friends, artists, and other organisations that have been keen to support him with his art, and also to support Kids First!
We are most grateful to hear about an opportunity for Andrew and Kids First to enter the Silk Cut Lino Award. We have been advised that Andrew and a number of kids from Kids First have been offered free entry to the competition, but will update this info once we find out more from Andrew, who is still getting over his jetlag!
Another very gracious and generous offer from Silk Cut is to donate a large amount of lino, ink, and rollers, so our kids can really get stuck in to making their own designs and prints! We are so very grateful for this amazing gift, and wonderful opportunity. We will update you all with more details soon!
Here at Kids First we all have something to say, so this blog will be updated by members of our team as our work progresses to keep all of you in the loop!
