![]() After our delicioso lunch in Bunga of delicate spring rolls, we made our way across the road to our mothers. This muddy courtyard is where they meet, open to the elements, to support each other and make crafts to uplift themselves. We've actually been really fortunate to be able to use this area for free, but it's not ideal and leaves little room to store crafts. Our mum's are desperately asking for help to rent or buy a room/building where they can meet under cover and safely store their craft and equipment. Could you help? Our mothers periodically pool together to pay someone to come in and teach them new techniques and crafts. Today they were excited to show us an insulated basket they are learning to make. This can store cooked food (amazing if you live without a fridge) to use later, or to sell. I was then invited to do a talk on "health". A rather broad topic! I borrowed some ideas from the stuff I do with the Cambridge AAW, which then lead into a Q&A session before dissolving completely into an exercise lesson! Good fun :) Finally we got to the part of the afternoon ya'll have been waiting for: UNDIES AND PADS distribution!! Yay!! If only you could have heard the cheers and seen the dancing when Sunny and Joshua brought out the 3 big boxes, and Aggie and I sorted the undies on a tarp on the ground. Each women got 5 undies (various sizes, to cater for kids at home too), at least 2 boxes of sanitary items, and condoms. Pretty awesome. They thought to so. In fact they were overwhelmed and are so grateful to you awesome people for your donations. Check out the photos :) PS there is a video on facebook...I haven't uploaded it here as they seem to play too slowly
